Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
MeetTwig is operated by Cristina Nevado Vinaras, C. Carril, Distrito Centro, 29009 Málaga, Spain, who acts as the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. 2. What information we collect
- Account information: the name, email address, and password you provide when you register. Passwords are stored as a one-way hash and are never stored or visible in plain text.
- Meeting content: the transcript text you paste or upload, the title and date you assign to a meeting, and the structured report (summary, action items, decisions, agreements, key moments) generated from it.
- Technical information: a session identifier stored in a cookie so you stay logged in (see §6, Cookies).
We do not collect or store payment card details on our servers.
3. How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account.
- To generate your meeting reports by processing your transcript text.
- To let you search and retrieve your own past meetings.
- To operate basic account security (login, password changes) and, where applicable, a daily usage limit on meeting analysis.
We do not use your meeting content for advertising, and we do not sell your data.
4. Who we share information with
OpenAI, L.L.C. (or its affiliates) — when an OpenAI API key is configured on our system, your transcript text is sent to OpenAI to generate your meeting report. Under OpenAI's API terms, data submitted through the API is not used to train OpenAI's models and is retained only briefly for abuse and safety monitoring before deletion. OpenAI's data retention and usage terms for API-submitted content are governed by OpenAI's own API data usage policies, available at openai.com/enterprise-privacy, which we encourage you to review.
We do not share your meeting content with any other third party, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
If no OpenAI API key is configured, your transcript is processed entirely by our own server-side analysis logic and is not sent to any external AI provider.
5. Data storage and security
Your account and meeting data are stored in a database on our hosting infrastructure. Passwords are hashed before storage. Access to your meetings is restricted to your account; other users cannot view your meetings.
6. Cookies
MeetTwig uses one essential cookie: a session cookie that keeps you logged in after you sign in. This cookie is strictly necessary for the app to function and does not track you across other websites. At this time, MeetTwig does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If that changes, this policy and the relevant consent mechanism will be updated first.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, object to the processing of, or delete your personal data. You can update your name from Account Settings at any time. To delete your account and all associated meetings, or to exercise any other right, email help@meettwig.com and we will process your request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, www.aepd.es).
8. Data retention
We retain your account and meeting data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion by emailing help@meettwig.com, we delete your account and meeting data within 30 days.
9. International data transfers
Your transcript text is processed by OpenAI, which operates in the United States, so meeting content may be transferred outside the European Economic Area as part of generating your report. These transfers rely on safeguards recognized under EU law, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses incorporated in OpenAI's data processing terms.
10. Children's privacy
MeetTwig is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
